For March 2022, with the $Whale Community, we decided to honor and remember the amazing artist Alotta Money, who left us too early, but who will eternally breathe through his inspiring art and funniest GIFs.

$Whale and Breezy started a long-term collaboration to provide a narrative to the $WHALE’s “The Vault”, one of the largest and most valuable collections of NFTs in the entire space through art curation. Each month we will highlight a specific creator or theme , through rich visuals, high-profile artist interviews, gallery events, and more. The focus is to foster an interactive experience complete with catalogs, newsletters, and other media to explore. For March, with the $Whale Community, we decided to honor and remember the amazing artist Alotta Money, who left us too early, but who will eternally breathe through his inspiring art and funniest GIFs.

Alotta Money has a unique and immediately recognizable style, with which he translated some of the most iconic masterpieces in Art History into the modern technological language, also combining collaborative work, personal experience and stimulating new journeys.
So, he was an artist who has always approached art with curiosity and a desire to know since he was 11 year old, with his first piece of digital art on Commodore64. These are the qualities that brought him to the digital art world.
Alotta Money, in fact, immediately realizes that he had to join Twitter, where all the actors were. This is how he chose his stage name:
When I created the account, my head was filled with info about money etc. That is why I picked a name expressing the money tornado I was in.
From the creation of that Twitter account, the story of Alotta Money in the crypto community began in 2018, when he just finished building his first gallery in Cryptovoxels. And from there he was completely immersed in its creative fervor in which he brings his geek side, between the love for cinema, video games and science fiction.
The world can be a terrible place full of ugliness. Art can save us from all this and help us face this harsh condition.
And in what way? Without taking ourselves too seriously:
I’m on a mission to take you to silly places, drop some silly seeds in your pockets and hope you’ll water them.
This incredible artist left us with a dream, which is also our dream, that is to have more art-loving collectors involved, why not, in the creative part on what he collects, because:

Ogni mese si metterà in evidenza un artista o un tema specifico, attraverso ricche immagini, interviste ad artisti di alto profilo, eventi in galleria e altro ancora. L’obiettivo è promuovere un’esperienza interattiva completa di cataloghi, newsletter e altri media da esplorare. Per il mese di marzo, con la $Whale Community, abbiamo deciso di onorare e ricordare l’incredibile artista Alotta Money, che ci ha lasciato troppo presto, ma che vivrà per sempre con la sua arte ispiratrice e le GIF più divertenti.

Alotta Money ha uno stile unico e immediatamente riconoscibile, con il quale ha tradotto alcuni dei capolavori più iconici della Storia dell’Arte nel moderno linguaggio tecnologico, combinando anche opere d’arte collaborative, esperienze personali e nuovi stimolanti viaggi.
Quindi, è stato un artista che si è sempre avvicinato all’arte con curiosità e voglia di conoscere, fin dall’età di 11 anni con la sua prima opera d’arte digitale su Commodore64. Queste sono le qualità che lo hanno portato nel mondo dell’arte digitale.
Alotta Money, infatti, si accorge subito che avrebbe dovuto iscriversi su Twitter, lo spazio sul quale interagivano tutti gli attori dell’arte digitale. Ecco come ha scelto il suo nome d’arte:
Quando ho creato l’account, la mia testa era piena di informazioni sui coin, ecc. Ecco perché ho scelto un nome che esprimesse il tornado di denaro in cui mi sono ritrovato.
Dalla creazione di quell’account Twitter, la storia di Alotta Money nella comunità delle criptovalute è iniziata nel 2018, quando ha appena finito di costruire la sua prima galleria in Cryptovoxels. E da lì è stato completamente immerso nel suo fervore creativo, nel quale porta il suo lato geek, tra l’amore per il cinema, i videogiochi e la fantascienza.
Il mondo può essere un posto terribile e pieno di bruttezza. L’arte può salvarci da tutto questo e aiutarci ad affrontare una così dura condizione.
E in che modo? Senza prendersi troppo sul serio:
Sono in missione per portarti in posti stupidi, per far cadere alcuni semi di stupidità nelle tue tasche e sperare che li annaffierai.
Questo incredibile artista ci ha lasciato un sogno, che è anche il nostro sogno, quello di avere più collezionisti amanti dell’arte che siano coinvolti, perché no, nella parte creativa di ciò che collezionano, questo perché:
Gli artisti hanno bisogno di trasmettere ai fan quel tepore dell’animo che scaldi i loro piccoli corpi, non solo alotta money™.
